Our Adventure Club has broadened our audience to…the Banneker staff!
On Saturday, September 6th, the Adventure Club and some very excited staff members met up at the Blue Hills for a hike. Ms. Robbie led the group in an ice breaker/name game, Ms. Gordon handed out maps and went over the trail we’d be hiking, and we broke into two groups.
After a gorgeous hike where we shared stories, discussed methods we use with our student A.C. groups, and helped each other up and down the Skyline Trail, we all met up at the Eliot Tower for lunch. The day was beautiful and so were the views…you could see all the way into Boston Harbor!
We took a group photo and began our trek back to the parking lot. It was great seeing everyone smiling, helping and encouraging each other, and having a great time. Again, our hike was full of stories and fun. (Teachers like to TALK!) Once we all arrived at our meeting spot, we stretched and said our goodbyes. It was a great first staff trip – we can’t wait for the next one!
